The beauty of its surrounding countryside has made Vejle a major tourist centre and starting-point for splendid day-trips to some of Denmark’s greatest tourist attractions. Guided tour around Vejle town and suburbs
(duration approximately 2 hours)
On this tour, we make a round trip, taking in both old and new while hearing about Vejle’s history, its present status, and what is planned for its future. Most importantly, we visit all of the most interesting scenic lookouts that our naturally beautiful region can offer.

West of Vejle
(duration approximately 4 hours)
This tour takes you through the celebrated and beautiful Grejsdal valley via Lerbæk Mill to Jelling – the ancient Danish royal seat – where you see the church, rune stones and burial mounds.

From here, the tour continues to Fårup lake, and past Engelsholm Castle and lake to the old baroque church in Nørup. From Nørup, the tour continues to Bindeballe Købmandsgård, where there is a short break before proceeding through the beautiful Randbøl region.

Next stop is the Tørskind Gravel Pit, to see the sculptures of Robert Jacobsen.

The tour ends at the Viking bridge at Ravning, where you can take a look at the reconstruction of this ancient bridge, before returning to Vejle via the magnificently scenic Ådal river valley. A coffee break can be arranged in a nearby inn.

South of Vejle

The tour leaves Vejle, and travels along Ibæk Strandvej, past Munkebjerg, Andkær and Brejning Beach to Trelde Næs, where you can stretch your legs in surroundings of exceptional natural beauty.
The tour then continues to a nearby restaurant for lunch.
After lunch, the tour continues through the Elbo valley to Egtved and the grave of the “Egtved Girl”. From here, the tour goes on to Ravning with its ancient Viking bridge, before returning to Vejle via the Ådal river valley route.
